There is something about these Continentals I love. Specifically when they're white or black. White ones are just beautiful, while black ones will give you nightmares. If one pulls into your driveway, it's there because either you're gonna be shot by mobsters, you're in a movie and Sgt. Whatshisface is here to tell you that your husband died, or the Matrix was real all along. It's like... it's a pretty versatile car, considering all the roles it can play so perfectly. How it can be inviting and terrifying at the same time. And yet it is a rectangle with wheels and no significantly significant features aside from the neat chrome trim running along the edges. But shut up, me, this is one of your favorite cars and you are overthinking it. Just be glad that they can be had for a steal compared to what other badass land yachts are capable of costing, and then get one and resist the twisted urge to put a replica JFK campaign sticker on it. Or at least say you tried to resist it.

Unless these guys know you're having a party.

I have this crazy idea for a Continental, which I'm sure is sacrilege - cut & shut one to make it 75% of the size.
Reduce the engine bay length, swap the motor for a a smaller block (but higher HP)
Shave 6 inches off each door size to reduce the overall length by another foot.
Slice it down the middle, and cut out 4-6 inches from the middle.
Reduce the folding hard top (and trunk size) to match the smaller cabin.
Keep the white walls, but subtly tweak the shocks and springs to give you a nice supple ride that doesn't roll like a top heavy tanker.
You'd end up with a pimp looking ride that doesn't take up two lanes.
Yes it's crazy, but there is no way I could drive a car like that in my home town.

That is so ridiculous I want to see it done!

I really like the old 4 door convertibles. Their prices are still pretty reasonable for a decent driver. The thing is, its so much car to restore or fix. Also, it literally won't fit into my garage.

Yeah, but at the same time, it's pretty in any condition. As long as you can keep it running (and preferably keep the roof from leaking) it doesn't make a difference how it looks. At least, that's my opinion.
